Schoonerfest Geocaching

Schoonerfest
Have some fun Geocaching during Wiscasset Schoonerfest!

Geocaching is an outdoor recreational activity, in which participants use a GPS receiver, mobile device and other navigational techniques to hide and seek containers, called "geocaches" or "caches", at specific locations marked by coordinates all over the world. We have several Geocaches hidden right here in Wiscasset!

Some Wiscasset Geocaches have been here for a while
Some were added for Schoonerfest, just to make you smile
You will have to visit the website to officially play
But read on for some hints that will get you on your way
There are four special caches for the festival week
Get out there on the hunt, find the spots and take a peak
One is in a place where many lobstermen go to work
The beautiful view down here is an additional perk
At a different spot along the water, you will find another one
Near railroad tracks and a parking lot, explore and have some fun
You will have to climb a hill, to where you can borrow a book
And there you can find another cache, go up and take a look
The other one we've hidden is further away than the rest
It may not be right downtown, but it's special for Schoonerfest
This is somewhere you can exercise, or play games in the gym
Senior Dinners, Summer Camp, you can even go for a swim
To find exact locations get online and find out more
Have fun on your treasure hunt and Wiscasset tour!
